I didn’t expect to win so it was a bit of a shock. I didn’t even want to look the screen. My legs and hands were shaking. I wanted to keep it together and prepare myself not to win. I just kept telling myself not to cry.
When my face came up, I thought they must have the wrong picture; I was expecting Katherine’s to pop up. I thought it would be Katherine. She’s so editorial. With her looks and height, she was really good.
Winning And Keeping A Secret
I’ve known I was the winner since the end of February, and I’ve been asked all the time who won. I had to keep making up reasons for why I couldn’t say. Things like, "Oh we filmed two different endings."
It was so funny to watch the show. There wasn’t a single episode where I didn’t think, 'Oh my god, that is so embarrassing!' It’s funny how they edit it and give everyone a particular character. I didn’t expect it to be so extreme. What character did they pick for me? Someone who is very blunt (laughs). I don’t think they did a very good job of portraying me. If they were clever they could have made me look very, very nice. Then Max Factor could have had lots of sales. It would have been a great business decision!
Experiences In The House
Obviously I loved winning, that was great! But I loved our food fight; it was a really great night, everyone was getting on so well. We were all running around being disgusting and putting food everywhere. I loved the period costume shoot, getting dressed up in the corsets and stuff.
Shooting down the waterfall in South Africa was a nightmare. It was terrible.
