A Note To Trisha And Pauline

I personally cannot begin to imagine what it would have been like for the both of you to write about the trial or attend it on any given day. I only know from my experience with the justice system, during my rape trial, it was difficult to testify and be cross-examined. It was my only way to see justice served.

Dear Trisha and Pauline,

I do not know either of you personally, but I have been reading your coverage of this horrible trial on Orato.com. In my eyes you both have shown courage, strength and dedication in covering the story of the missing women.

The missing women you have been writing about today, and in the future, never had a voice...never had the chance to testify like I did in at my rape trial. You both have attended the trial, which in a way is giving missing women a voice, in my opinion.

It is difficult to know what impact your stories will have as this case goes to a jury in the near future. I can only hope it will bring awareness, educate our society about our viewpoints in respect to victims of sexual violence and bring open and honest debates about sexual violence against many women in our society.

I will close with saying I truly admire the personal courage both of you have shown during this historical event. May others learn from both of you Trisha and Pauline.

I wanted to send my best wishes to you both. May each day be blessed and your new journeys be safe ones.

Sincerely,
Holly Desimone
