So I'm sitting at my television on a lovely Sunday evening, having just enjoyed my usual tradition of watching football all day when the Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles game comes on.
Anyone with any knowledge of football assumed one thing about this game: the Cowboys were going to absolutely destroy the Eagles. I figured the score would be something like 42-13. Little did I know how powerful and evil of a force was in attendance that night in Dalls: none other than Jessica Simpson herself.
I know what you're thinking; how could such a beautiful and sweet-looking girl contain evil beyond our wildest imaginations? I'll tell you how: She turned Tony Romo from one of the best quarterbacks in the leauge into a middle school quarterback playing against the high school varsity team.
Just to give some background on the story, Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson have been dating for some time. Now of course, it isn't exactly a rare thing for star sports figures to be dating gorgeous famous celebrities. The problem here was her effect on him while being at the game.
To put things into perspective, consider these stats: In the six games preceding the Simpson Disaster, Tony Romo had thrown 19 touchdowns and only five interceptions, and also had won each of the six games. With Simpson in attendence, cheering for him in her cute little pink Tony Romo jersey, Romo went 13/36 in pass completions and threw NO touchdowns and three interceptions.
In no other game all season has he failed to throw a touchdown. Add that to the fact that this game happened to also be only the 2nd loss of the entire season, and you have yourself some proof that Jessica Simpson in attendence to Cowboys games = horrible Tony Romo.
