Preamble:

Watching the show last night was a little nerve wracking because I knew the outcome. It was definitely tougher for me to get eliminated than it was for some of the other contestants, just because I did go so far and got so close to being in the finale. But I was content with the choice that he made and was kind of ready to go at that point. I had a good run.

Body:

Christina and I are very similar in the way that we work. I knew in the very beginning that it was going to come down to between me and her, and I think she felt the same way. Her winning all the challenges kept pushing me down, but I still knew I had more experience and the ability to beat her.

Toward the end, we had no problem telling each other what we were thinking. The last night I said to her, “Congratulations bea-yotch.” She knew we are not best friends and would never hang out with each other outside of Hell’s Kitchen, but we worked really well together.

We knew that in order for us to get further in the competition, we had to come together in the kitchen itself and show Chef Ramsay that two women – two younger girls – actually can do a better job. We beat out every guy in Hell’s Kitchen, except for Petrozza. We knew we had something special.

Not There To Make Friends

I’m definitely still friends with Louross, and Christina and I do talk. I didn’t go to Hell’s Kitchen to befriend everybody. You go there not sure who the hell you’re going to meet. Louross, Christina and I got along, but Louross is really the only one I have anything in common with.

Who do I wish I’d never met? There’s three that stand out in my mind: Jen of course, because she’s just kind of a nasty individual, Bobby, because he’s just in his own world and is very sexist, and Ben, because he’s just very closed-minded.

I think I would have been better off not having to deal with them. Then again, I don’t regret meeting them because they taught me things about myself.

Chef’s Decision

I think Christina actually is the better choice for this competition because her heart’s in the right place, she’s just finished school…it would be a fresh start for her, and I think she’d really enjoy being Chef Ramsay’s chef in LA. Toward the end, I wasn’t really so sure what I wanted. I enjoyed being on the show and I learned a lot, but I wasn’t sure it was the best move for me.

I think catching the sauce mistake before it went out in last night’s challenge would have helped. Last night my service was excellent, my meat was right on, but Chef had to look at the big picture, and Christina winning all the challenges put her in a higher light than me.

Chef just wanted more out of me. He knew I had the potential, but I was having a hard time pulling it out on Hell’s Kitchen. We definitely left on a good note. He was proud of me. He knew he made the right decision, even if it was a hard one.

The Low Down On Ramsay

Chef’s just like any other talented chef. I was expecting a lot worse from him, and I think the fact he didn’t come down as hard on me made me start to relax with him. I figured he saw I was talented and knew I could cook.

The Low Down On Corey

I think I’m not so much of a bitch as it may have looked. I know that I’m not. (laughs) I have a voice and I’m not afraid to use it. If someone irritates me, I stand up for myself. I was myself...You have to put yourself out there.

Who Should Chef Choose?

I think Christina should win. She has almost the whole package. There may be a few things Chef needs to adjust, but she’s fresh compared to Petrozza. I mean, Petrozza is almost 50, he’s sloppy…he doesn’t really have the image that Chef Ramsay’s going to want to portray. Christina should definitely be the winner.
