Re-visiting all this malarkey is not something I'm keen to do at this stage of my recovery. After 14 years of being drilled and manipulated (by others who were drilled and manipulated), mostly in a gradual, subtle, and very polite way that I didn't notice, I just can't take watching this.
I got through about 30 minutes.
It's like watching the lead up to being raped. I went as far in Scientology as 'OT3'. Which is a deep violation of self. It is not easy to explain how this happened to me and harder still to explain the mental conflict of breaking down and dissolving the indoctrination.
Certain issues on accuracy make it hard to offer this up as a 'definitive' as well. E.g. the auditing session depicted was a far cry from the drilled and precise wording that is normally involved. And when the two girls walk into the 'Org' and are allowed to just wander about the book store. That would never happen.
Scientology is highly controlled. When you get to that reception desk, you're either recognised and allowed to go through to your courseroom or, if you are new, someone escorts you (always and everywhere). It's all very polite but highly disciplined and controlled. Also, in the 'Org' I was part of, you always signed in at the desk and signed out when you are leaving.
