Well, I have. I have tested this theory out for the past year and I have to say that it works. It's tested and true. If you don't believe it works, I suggest you take the challenge and see if it works for you.
Over the past year, there has been this buzz happening across America called "The Secret" albeit, better known as "The Law of Attraction." It's not about how we attract the opposite sex. This concept is about how we attract elements in the universe to us.
In theory, we attract to us exactly what we put out into the universe. If we act like the victim all the time, we continue being a victim. If we think everybody is out to get us, then everybody is out to get us. If we think that we will never get ahead, then we never will.
On the opposite side of that coin there is the positive outlook on life. If we wish to have a happy, fulfilling life then we must keep our mind set on that goal. If we want love in our lives, then we must fill the universe with our own love so that it will come back to us.
"The law of attraction states," according to James Canfield. "That you will attract into your life--whether wanted or unwanted--whatever you give your energy, focus, and attention to."
If you want riches, fame, fortune, etc. then you have to put your dreams out into the universe so that it will come back to you. "You are constantly giving off vibrations of energy when you think and feel," says Canfield. "The law of attraction states that the universe responds to whatever you are offering -- by giving you more of whatever you are vibrating. It doesn't care whether it is good for you or not; it simply responds to your vibration."
Ok...I know some of you are thinking that I'm a crackpot that got involved in this law of attraction, super positive lifestyle that just isn't realistic. Well, skeptics...I challenge you to test out this law of attraction theory and actively work at it and then tell me it doesn't work. It worked for me. That is why I am a complete believer in this concept.
For instance, just last week, I wrote down three things on a sheet of paper that I wanted from the universe right now. I wasn't too specific. The reason why is that sometimes what we think is good for us, isn't necessarily good for us. It's better to let the universe decide what is better for us. I usually tell people that when you pray for something, God always answers prayers. It just may not be the answer you were hoping for. But in the end, it is the answer that is best for you.
On this sheet of paper, I listed 1) that I wanted a job that paid more money than I've ever made before, it was a happy place and I would love it there, the benefits would be phenomenal and it would be an amazing place to work; 2) I wanted a house (not one that I buy, but one that is given to me - mortgage free); and 3) I wanted love (not just any love, but the AMAZING love I've been looking for all of my life).
I looked at that sheet of paper three times a day. I'd often think about the list in my head saying to myself how much I really wanted those things. I meditated and prayed on those things. I kept a positive mind every single second and did not doubt that these things would not come to me. I said to myself, "These things are mine. I leave it to God and the universe to bring these things to me."
Two days after making that list, I got a phone call from my brother telling me that I've inherited a house and I needed to get in contact with the executor of the estate. When I called the executor, I found out that it was going to be a simple process. The deed would be put over into my name. I didn't have to worry about a mortgage or taxes on the property.
Two days after that, I got a little frustrated that I had no confirmations one way or the other if I had a new job. I was so furious, that I sat down and prayed to God. Well, let's just say the prayer consisted of a lot of cursing out God on my end. I challenged God's existence completely. Did God forget about me? Did God even exist?
I was so mad, I said "F--- YOU!" so many times to God, I should technically burn in hell for the remainder of my days, but apparently I woke something up.
I awoke in the morning feeling remorse for what I had said to God and I apologized.
A few minutes later, I received the first of several phone calls that told me that I was about to be offered a job. Six hours after waking, I was extended a job offer which fit the exact description on that sheet of paper that I was looking for in a job.
Oh, and I scored a date a few minutes later with a guy I met recently. When I walked away from him after our first initial conversation, I said for the first time in my life, "I could so date that guy!" I'm used to men trying to convince me to go out with them. I have never said to myself that "I" could see myself dating a certain guy. If he's that amazing love, I guess only time will tell.
In essence, God proved his existence to me last Friday. It was silly of me to doubt, so I'll just say God forgot about me for a moment. He may not operate under time like we do, so it was appropriate for me to remind him that time is of the essence!
I was able to check off every single item on my list last week. The universe gave to me exactly what I was asking for.
For those wanting to know how this whole concept works, I suggest picking up a copy of "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. James Canfield, world famous for his Chicken Soup for The Soul series, has also recently released his own experiences using the law of attraction in his life.
This isn't some crazy marketing ploy to sell you something. A friend gave me a copy of the book for my birthday last year. I read it and passed it along to people I cared about that I believed could benefit from "The Secret." I believe the law of attraction works better when "The Secret" is gifted to you.
I have incorporated the principles in my life and I have to say that I am the happiest I have ever been in my life. I've tested out the theory all the way down to controlling the weather. The concept has not proven me wrong once!
We are in charge of our own destinies. If we want good things in our life, we have to be good to life. We have to believe in our own power and faith that we can achieve everything we set out to do. It takes a lot of positive energy, a lot of faith in the universe/God, and a lot of meditation/prayer.
After I'm done with this, I'm writing a check payable to myself for an obscene amount of money to be cashed on a certain date in the near future. I'm going to look at that check three times a day, every single day until the day that check is due. The way the universe works, I can make that check a reality. I am fating that reality to me.
