Capoeira, according to Wikipedia, is an Afro-Brazilian martial art, game, and culture created by enslaved Africans in Brazil during the 16th Century.
That is correct, and at Wikipedia [1] you may read more about the history of this once outlawed art, and now, the first ever recognized Brazilian sport fight.
Capoeira is an X-Ray of Brazil in itself. In terms of its formation and development: there is the music, the dance, the witty, the singing. This is so much so that practitioners don't say they "fight" Capoeira; they play it.
Capoeira was born in Brazil with strong influences from mother Africa rituals. It embodies what to be Brazilian is all about.
I want to show you a picture of that, if you follow the links bellow you will get, I hope, a very good picture.
