I've recently learned that one of my close friends whom I'll call Marty (not his real name) has become the victim of a stalker and amazingly enough, both he and I are not the least bit worried.

The stalker who is a female has frequently been seen sitting outside my friend's bedroom window for hours on end peering at the occupants inside.

Marty and his roommate are not always aware of her intrusive presence or the eyes that watch them with predatory behavior but she is always there watching and waiting as quietly and patiently as she can.

Now, most people would be completely freaked out knowing that someone is watching them at all hours of the evening.

However, we often laugh and find it quite flattering knowing that the stalker in question has very good taste. After all Marty is quite a handsome devil and is quite eye catching to look at especially when he's at the gym or playing volleyball at the beach, so who wouldn't want to look at him?

Oy!! If I only had a granddaughter his age, but then that's neither here nor there since I'm only 35 years old and I don't have a granddaughter whom Marty could happily marry.

Last week, my friend's stalker snuck into his bedroom during the wee hours of the morning and laid down beside him and much to his surprise she stared at him eye to eye when he woke up to see her nose an inch away from his.

He was a bit startled and even annoyed but it was one of those things that seemed trivial enough to forget about an hour later.

I still don't think too much of it and while some people may think that we are both insane or seem to have no concept of danger rest assured we are not worried in the least.

As I am writing this the stalker is sitting outside Marty's bedroom window and I can hear her pacing back and forth.
