Actor Jason Beghe, who has appeared in films such as G.I. Jane, was a member of the Scientology church for 14 years before leaving it behind. In a recently released interview, he says the purpose of Scientology is to create a "brainwashed, robotic version of you."

Here's an excerpt from that interview.

It's so sad that people can witness how screwed up such a person is after 14 years of "practicing" something that is supposed to enlighten you and still be curious about traveling the same road.
This is only different by degree here. I know from where I speak, because I have sincerely tried that fundamentalist spiritual avenue to "enlightenment" through the Pentecostal type of movements, in the mid eighties. One thing it gave me was an intimate knowledge of the Bible which is actually a very revealing book, marred by belief, in my opinion..

Honestly, LSD is a more honest spiritual experience if you come to it in the right way, in my opinion. Many people in all religions end up as screwed up as Jason or worse. Remember Jonestown?, Waco?

The focus in Canada is to give religious thought supremacy over our secular laws. Check out the actions of Mormon Polygamists. Sikh exemptions for helmet laws and the fact that Air India Bombers were allowed sanctuary in the religious community. The introduction and continued support for morality based laws in our criminal code, like prohibition of Cannabis (which is just as valuable at the very least as Mormonism), is rampant in Canada. That is why our society, directly due to our government's input, is as dysfunctional in comparison, as this duped confused speaker in the video, Jason Beghe

Thanks for the interview and the bit of insight/introspection it gives us, Mike Small.
