7-8 years ago I was having a drink at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Chicago, IL, USA - time was 12:30AM. Needed to venture to the ladies restroom. The drink tired me so, to the point I almost walked into the mens restroom. I stopped, and looked up at the Men's signage, turned around and noticed a man watching me ten feet away, in the crowd walking to their appropriate bathrooms. It was Keanu Reeves. He directed me, with both hands and pointed fingers, as he walked past the ladies restroom. I headed in the direction he stated, and as I walked past him I said thank you and smiled. Hilarious, he was the only one, of all those people walking to the restroom, that was aware I would have shocked a handful of beings in the men's room.

He was staring at me as he walked past the entry into the Season's Lounge after that episode; I may have been blushing.....

Hey Keanu fans - I've noticed this little diddy has been making the rounds in Keanu forums. Crazy!! I didn't know so many people would care or relate! Some questions have come up, which I feel obliged to address.

Peeps are wondering what is his brand...I'm not sure what kind of razor it was, but Keanu did jokingly remark on the price, "28 dollars!"

Yes, he is tall in real life.

If I could go back, I'm not sure I would have done anything differently. I feel sorry for celebrities. It must be difficult not to be anonymous...like living in a zoo. Anyway, glad you all enjoyed living vicariously through my chance encounter.

That reminds me of the first time I found a NHLer outside my apartment. I recognized him and he recognized me. He then walked by with his back to me remarking on how lovely the neighborhood was to the woman that was with him. I walked into my apartment building with a weird look on my face thinking, "I just saw a New York Ranger outside of my apartment building." I don't think I slept at all that night either b/c I just thought it was so weird. Part of me wanted to call him out when he turned his back to me.

I actually did at the next game when he skated up looking at me. I started calling him, "STALKER" to his face. B/c how many NHLers have people found outside of their apartment building??? He actually laughed and skated off.

Granted, I've had Martin Brodeur running up alongside me on the sidewalk saying, "Excuse me," in nothing but his jogging shorts, and a lot of the New Jersey Devils live in my neighborhood and I see them on the street all the time. I think it's a little different now with NHLers, b/c it's my line of work, but I can say that Russell Crowe has serenaded me before. : ) I was honored.

If you get that Keanu Reeves interview, I cannot wait to read it. I wonder what film he's filming in Vancouver. Then again, didn't he move to Vancouver a few years ago? I think I recall reading something like that 10 years ago. I could be mistaken.
