Josh Sidman
Orato Member since September 25, 2007

Josh is a native New Yorker who currently resides in Knoxville, Tennessee. He majored in economics and Japanese Language at Union College and then worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York and Morgan Stanley in London & Tokyo as a specialist in Japanese equity derivatives. He quit finance to become a struggling actor/bartender, prompting his friends and family to question his sanity. After a few more brief careers, including an abortive attempt to become a reality-TV producer, Josh rediscovered his childhood love of music and has played professionally in the bluegrass & old-time genres for the past 6 years, most notably as the bassist for the internationally touring "hillbilly goth" band, The Earl Brothers. He is also Managing Partner of The Parlor, LLC, a restaurant/music venue/vintage instrument store/music school, opening in Fall '08.
