I have a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature and have taught in the B.C. Public School System, and at SFU and UBC as a career. I have also been a rancher. I had a herd of Romney sheep and Angora goats for many years. As a rancher, I developed a strong environmental sense and when I moved back to the Fraser Valley area from B.C.'s Interior in the early 1990's, I became alarmed at the dramatic growth in the area's population and at the effects of this growth on the ecosystem of the Fraser Valley and GVRD. When I became aware that the surge in population was almost totally due to immigration, I began to develop an interest in that topic, particularly in things that could be done to reduce immigration. For the past seven years,I have been very much involved in writing and talking about the environmental, cultural and economic effects of Canada's mass immigration policy.
