Boom! Right now I'm living wherever I feel comfortable. At this moment, it's New York, which I call Gotham City. I swear to God I saw The Hulk, Batman and Spider-Man fighting on a building last night.
The Two Coreys was shot in Vancouver, and I feel comfortable there too. I'm Canadian, so I've been going there all my life anyway. It's like a second home for me. It feels like a mini-Los Angeles. A lot of people say "It's boring," and I'm like, "It's not boring dude, it's 'The Couv!'" But that's just me.
Obviously when people are reminiscing about the 80s, I tend to come to mind. If I was trying to capture it in a nutshell, I'd have to say it was just a really busy time for me. I was working, working, working all the time, thank God.
I'd come to Los Angeles from Toronto, which was a trip. I made great friends, like Corey Feldman. I listened to great music, like Phil Collins. I've been independent since I was 10, years old. The 80s were the 80s; it was my time, and the best time of my life.
Movies for teenagers really haven't changed all that much since those days. Nowadays, there are more special effects and bigger budgets, and people are trying to dig deeper and deeper into the characters in movies. This is just my own personal opinion, but I think they're running out of ideas for movies, to be honest with you. But I do think one out of every three movies that come out is really amazing.
While the special effects are even more impressive these days, I actually prefer movies without special effects because it's raw.

By Michelle Kenneth, August 20, 2007 at 18:03Wow! This is such a wonderful treat reading this article. I can't wait to see Lost Boys 2, because the first movie was such an amazing movie. Almost a sort of coming of age film for so many of us.
I always wondered what happened to Corey Haim, b/c I see Corey Feldman in the press every now and again, but never Haim. Like Heather, I was just the same, tearing out pictures of Wil Wheaton and the rest of the gang (next question is what happened to Wil Wheaton???).
Welcome back, Corey.

By Heather Wallace, August 21, 2007 at 09:29Hey Michelle - Well, I have e-mailed Wil Wheaton, but so far haven't heard back...Feldman is apparently going to write something for us too...but I guess he's pretty busy :)

By Sharon Murray, August 20, 2007 at 12:07There is actually a funny story behind my meeting Corey. You see, I am originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and I take an occasional dance class in NY. I was at a morning class a few blocks away, and someone had told me that he was going to be at Planet Hollywood. Well, honestly I was eavesdropping in on a conversation ...(hee hee). I had a disposable digital in my car, as well as some free time so I headed down with hopes of getting a picture. I looked like crap because I was doing ballet for two hours prior ... thank God I had decent clothes with me.
I didn't get much of a chance to talk with Corey as there were several people waiting for photos, and I didn't want to take up too much of his time...but he is very nice and accommodating, and he made me laugh. Among most of the teen stars I had a crush on when I was 13 he was definitely one of my favorites, so it was a nice nostalgic moment for me, and made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, ya know, like when we were young. And he still has that amazing smile.
I wish I had more detail as far as conversation with him, however I am a pretty good judge of character and I imagine that he is an amazing person inside. You should have seem him with the children ... he was genuine and showed a lot of love and appreciation.

By Heather Wallace, August 15, 2007 at 18:53It was such a pleasure to interview Corey Haim for this article. I found him absolutely warm, positive and generous with his time. After all he's been through, he seems to hold no grudges. He's just optimistic, nostaligic and friendly. Thanks Corey, and congratulations on Lost Boys 2...I can't imagine them doing it without you.
I look forward to hearing from Corey Feldman in the coming weeks...after all, I can't imagine one without the other somehow. :)
Speaking with Corey was really surreal. I remember ripping out pictures of him, Ralph Macchio, Kirk Cameron, Corey Feldman, Wil Wheaton and River Phoenix for my school locker. What a trip! I have a feeling some of my old school friends will be a tad jealous. ;)

Re: Corey Haim: Lost Boy Found
By Drugan, January 30, 2008 at 22:51At one point Corey was definitely overshadowed by the New Kids on the Block, and my interested began changing from actors to musicians. And I was pretty naïve and innocent back then, so when the story broke that Corey was addicted to drugs, and couldn’t get sober, well, I was extremely disappointed in him, and no longer held him in such high regard. I think the last movie I ever saw him in was "Blown Away" with Corey Feldman and Nicole Eggert, but by then, I was no longer naïve and innocent, and I saw this semi-porn flick for what it was, a desperate attempt by an actor to hold onto his career.
Re: Corey Haim: Lost Boy Found
By Gordman, March 4, 2008 at 12:09I have to understand that he faced tough times, the 80's were troubled years for teens as drugs emerged pretty fast, specially cocaine. There were many victims of drugs back then and they didn't have access to good drug treatment as we have today...
