Are we equal to men in our own eyes? This question stroked the humorous and passive chord in me and stirred the sleeping hornet within me.

Well! I thought I should do something about it being the only female in a male dominated family. I will no longer submit myself passively to the male tyranny of the family.

I put this in rolling action. I put up no nonsense face and said
" Honey I feel like resting today you should cook?"
" Cooking Stormed my Husband is not my domain and moreover I married you for what"
I am going to put an end to all my free services just like in USA you should pay me a salary and Sunday is a rest day for me
I stood my ground. My husband ranted and raved but I did not move a budge.
My husband got a bit perturbed he enlisted my mother's help
I heard him speaking to my phone to my mother and my mother called me after some time in steronian tones she spoke to me
" All this is only because you are reading lot of women magazines and you are a freelance Journalist. All this is fit only for others consumption and not
Yours."
She than spoke to my husband "Mappillai you first spoil her and then come running to us she should be shown her place."

I rolled my eyes heavenwards so much for equality. Only a woman is responsible for another woman's downfall I thought to myself and this is not the first barb
I was just planning my next round of action than my servant maid came inside.
