I didn't get involved in real estate by accident! My mother has been a Realtor for 30+ years, so it's sort of in my blood. I have watched her trials and tribulations with the whole market, and I guess you could say I wanted a part of it. I also got into flipping houses and figured it would be easier to do it myself than to pay somebody else. My clients now are an eclectic bunch of people, but they let me combine my love of real estate with good ol' fashioned rock-n-roll. Here's the story of my passions colliding.

I am not your average "suit wearing" stuffy type that typically dominates this field. I found my own niche catering to musicians, bands, celebrities and other social "outcast" type people that would never step foot in a regular everyday agency. I am very lucky that I get to be myself and not have to censor myself at work.

Musicians tend to face unique challenges when buying property. They especially seem to think they cannot buy due to their tax records, minimal reported income et cetera. Generally, I can find a loan program to fit any situation. There are so many loan programs that offer a "stated" approach, where it requires little to no documentation. Of course, good credit (above a 640) makes things run a bit smoother.

I enjoy the unique challenges that bands present to me on a daily basis. For instance: "No common walls because I'm a drummer," "I simply must have a bar area," or "Is there a hot tub?" Let's just say it's always fun to accommodate these special needs.

What is the "utlimate rock and roll" dream home? Well, the really successful rock stars want it all: A view, waterfront, pool, hot tub, stripper pole (!)...Some want to be in the city, while some want to be completely out of the city. The most important thing to them is space.

A few I know have come to Texas looking for land since it is cheaper here. Austin is one of the most undervalued cities in America, and people from all over are noticing. Some also want the unique Texas farmland complete with cattle and the whole bit.

Obviously the bands that I sell to that are not national touring acts want a little less.
