IS HE KIDDING? Did you happen to see any of the President's speech? With such an unpopular war and his own approval rating way below what should be tolerated, Mr. Bush has the nerve to come in front of the American people and try to send 21,000 more troops! However, for the first time since this war started, he's actually saying that his efforts aren't working. No kidding! I think the only reason why he's admitting that there are problems is because he could get away with it before. The Republican-controlled House and Senate just gave the President a blank check to do whatever he wanted. Now that the Democrats are in power, the President has to tread lightly.

The President is the one who's been orchestrating this catastrophe since it started, so who else could possibly be blamed for its' short-comings. The sad thing is that, up until last night, the President has never admitted he was wrong. If he's like that with the American people, just think what a pleasure he must be like to live with? I wonder if the first lady has to go upside his head with a frying pan at least once a week?

The Democrats ought to enact a law that says, "- if a president's approval rating drops below a certain percentage, the two houses can start immediate impeachment proceedings." The Republicans tried to crucify Bill Clinton for a whole lot less. Democrats should return the favor. That may be the only way to get through to this guy.

If I'm not mistaken, nobody has ever found a weapon of mass destruction. Is it possible that thousands of Americans have lost their lives for an unjust war? How many billions of dollars have been spent on the Mideast, when still nothing has been done in New Orleans? Sounds as if somebody has his priorities all screwed up. Whatever happened to the deal with Bush's domestic spying? That got swept under the rug; how convenient! Are we dealing with a President or a dictator?

My friends lost their 18-year-old son the first week we went into Fallujah. So I'm definitely against this war. I wholeheartedly support our troops, just not the guy who sent them there. Matt Damon was right.
