What the hell, Jesus’ll be here in a minute or two anyway, so who gives a damn about global warming? '

America on the idiot brink.

When you think of it, Sarah Palin is the perfect addition to a neo-conservative republican Presidential ticket in 2008. She’s so retro. Even her hair-do screams 1982.

She’s positively Reaganesque. Trickle-down economics. ‘Just say no.’ To polar bears. Trickle-down ethics. She claims ‘executive privilege’ in not cooperating into an investigation of her behavior as Governor. She believes that the world will end in her lifetime (with or without her help). She’s a great communicator. Of nothing whatsoever, but delivered with sneering sarcasm. They even have to hide her, lest her arrogant ignorance become too apparent, even to the born-again choir. The beans could get spilled.

At her church the holy get possessed by the Spirit (or whomever) and speak in ‘tongues’. Is translation available? If not, is speaking in tongues any different from shouting pure idiotic gibberish? Would that not seem insane by any standards? The VP-in-waiting likes to shriek crazy nonsense. Ain’t America great?

Even though virtually every expert on the matter contends that an increase in domestic drilling for oil will have virtually no ameliorating effect on supply, Palin is an enthusiastic supporter. This in a state where the Exxon Valdez disaster went virtually unpunished, and where human and animal victims were more or less deserted Katrina style. Wow, she’s a maverick! Just like McCain! To hell with wildlife, let’s build that pipeline after we shoot us some wolves from helicopters, then take a dip in the ceement pond. What the hell, Jesus’ll be here in a minute or two anyway, so who gives a damn about global warming? Booyah!

Since she lives so close to Russia (and its ten time zones) she thinks she’s an expert on Russian affairs and can spew dangerous deadly threats at will.
