Now that the Olympics have run their course it’s time to check out some new movies. Sports enthusiasts going through athletic withdrawal can have their lives jumpstarted with Goal II: Living the Dream, a savvy and smart look at big time competition from AMPR

By far the biggest game in the world is soccer. Adaptation to this traditional outlet of skill and fun on the field has been slow to gain acceptance in North America. Outside our shores in Europe and South America soccer is king. Now we all know that today players bounce around between teams. Loyalty to one club is a thing of the past, no matter what the sport. News of a hot player’s defection from Manchester United to Real Madrid sends shockwaves through both soccer hungry cities/nations.

Local star Santiago Munez seems to have it all. How many times in real life have we witnessed people with such immense talent squander their lives away with such new found wealth and fame? Too many to count I’d say. Not content to live the good life in England with his bride to be Roz Harmison Mr. Munez decides to take the cash and leave working class Manchester for a new life, and considerably more cash in Madrid.

You can sense that all the temptations on the sultry shores of Madrid and that Spanish coast would pose problems for Munez but that’s only the beginning. We all know long distance romances can be fraught with danger and the seeds of difficulties are sown early on as Roz is simply not a happy camper in her new environment.

On the pitch things are equally bumpy for our new import. Under the reigns of tough as nails Coach Rudi Van der Merwe it takes quite a bit of time for Munez to finally get into the game.
