Christina and I are very similar in the way that we work. I knew in the very beginning that it was going to come down to between me and her, and I think she felt the same way. Her winning all the challenges kept pushing me down, but I still knew I had more experience and the ability to beat her.
Toward the end, we had no problem telling each other what we were thinking. The last night I said to her, “Congratulations bea-yotch.” She knew we are not best friends and would never hang out with each other outside of Hell’s Kitchen, but we worked really well together.
We knew that in order for us to get further in the competition, we had to come together in the kitchen itself and show Chef Ramsay that two women – two younger girls – actually can do a better job. We beat out every guy in Hell’s Kitchen, except for Petrozza. We knew we had something special.
Not There To Make Friends
I’m definitely still friends with Louross, and Christina and I do talk. I didn’t go to Hell’s Kitchen to befriend everybody. You go there not sure who the hell you’re going to meet. Louross, Christina and I got along, but Louross is really the only one I have anything in common with.
Who do I wish I’d never met? There’s three that stand out in my mind: Jen of course, because she’s just kind of a nasty individual, Bobby, because he’s just in his own world and is very sexist, and Ben, because he’s just very closed-minded.
I think I would have been better off not having to deal with them. Then again, I don’t regret meeting them because they taught me things about myself.

By Heather Wallace, June 25, 2008 at 14:20A couple of us in the office were just wondering whether Chef has a crush on Christina...then again, he's married. Which reminds me of how his wife apparently asks him to wear his chef jacket while they're getting biblical. Bon appetit!

By aftaab, June 25, 2008 at 12:43I disagree with Corey about who should win. Christina fell apart during the last service while Petrozza kept it together. Who cares if he doesn't fit the 'image'. What has image got to do with being a great chef? My vote goes to Petrozza even if he is 50 years old. Why that should make a difference is beyond me.
