We all have those days... waking up is hard and getting out of bed nearly impossible. The bleary, rainy day sets the tone as you stand under an awning - because you've lost your umbrella again, while waiting for public transit. By the time you get to the office you're exhausted and it's only 8 a.m. Whether it was due to one too many at the local watering hole the night before, or just a case of the doldrums, sometimes being at work can be physically painful. How do you get through the day? How do you perk yourself up when coffee just isn't doing the trick? You make yourself and office sleep mask and find a quiet space to rest.

Making your very own office sleep mask:
1) First, take a piece of white paper and draw a jumbo figure-eight on it.
2) Now colour it in, using thick black sharpie.
3) Cut out black-filled, jumbo figure-eight and flip it horizontal.
4) Punch a hole on either end (top and bottom).
5) Take two rubber bands, snip each to make two long noodles, tie together in
the middle to make one long noodle.
6) Feed one end of long noodle into one hole on figure eight and tie in a knot
so it doesn't fall out.
7) Do the same to the other side.

Now that you've created your office sleep mask, here are a few things to remember before putting it on:

- You may get in trouble if your boss sees you wearing it, so to alleviate any concern on his part you could a) pay a co-worker who works in a back cubicle to leave the office for an hour and let you get some shut-eye at his desk, or b) find a storage room or office supply closet to rest in.

- Depending on how bright your office is, you may want to double up. Make two office masks to keep out the office glare.

- Keep the office sleep mask black. Writing things like "Party Animal" or "Sleeping Beauty" will only draw more attention to yourself.

- Do not use the office sleep mask if you are making over 60,000K a year. Those jobs are a lot harder to replace, should you get caught and kicked to the curb!
