A Resident of East Vancouver today, Marilyn has spent time in the far reaches of Canada. She has spent ten years at her craft, being stimulated to express her soul’s passions in this form.
Marilyn’s work spoke to me as I tripped by her display in the park on the West side of Commercial Drive. The first time I saw her work this was the impression she left with me as I emailed her for an interview:
“What I remember was an eyeful of writhing color sprouting up from the grass in the park. And of course you ensconced in a position of stewardship reading an entrancing tome.”
What really surprised me was that when I dared ask how much she was asking for a certain piece, her reply assured me that even an Oracle can afford Marilyn’s work. She didn’t seem to be “about the money” at all, only desiring, I suspect, what any honest artist craves: a responsive engagement with someone who feels spiritually “connected” through their work.
To that end Marilyn invites you to connect and respond, please.
