David's version of the Elvis hit "Love me Tender" was a real pleasure to watch.

Woooowwww!

This young man touched my heart as he sang “Love me Tender.” Someone saved the tape for me to see. What a pleasure to watch such young eager, bright talent. American Idol has got something powerful that reaches out to all and captures people’s hearts, souls. It seems that there is no barrier to the top except raw talent. The young human drama is exquisite.

Using my lateral thought transposition, I have wondered why America wouldn’t model their foreign policy on American Idol? This is what Americans are really good at, creating entertainment that draws in the masses, captures them and makes addicts out of the audience.

The next administration would do well to consider letting TV project their foreign policy approach, combined with the smooth touch of a marketer, to maximize the harvest of bountiful financial rewards.

I think that a clever new, non confrontational, more embracing, happier, approach could paradoxically reap more than the big-stick-slug-fest-method. A large natural part of this would involve media marketing America through TV, movies, the internet, music and much more in subtle, very pleasant ways. This is stuff that America sets the standard in.

I’ve heard it said that you catch more flies with honey, than vinegar.

This young man’s performance, David Archuleta, could have won over millions of hearts of every culture. There’s no downside either, no bloodshed and only cash to be made.

Am I crazy, or is the world?

Can there be any doubt as to who is destined to be the American Idol?

Even the lyrics were prophetic. David Archuleta, you have a natural ability combined with true honest innocence that will allow you to soar in your art. Not many people have that sincere connection directly into other's hearts, which makes it all the more special when a young person honestly deserves the rather arrogant title "American Idol."

Stay away from the diversions, stay true to yourself, and stay real young man!
