Have we entered a strange parallel universe, where the English Premier League's rejects join forces to tackle the league's once mighty stars? Actually, no, we are just observing the latest goings on in Major League 'Soccer'.
In a bizarre development in the season of David Beckham's team, LA Galaxy, Becks and his teammates were left stunned by none other than Danny Dichio and Laurent Robert! The former Sunderland and Newcastle players, respectively, both now ply their trade for Canadian side, Toronto FC, who hosted the Galaxy at the 'Home Depot Arena' (the equivalent of a 'B & Q Stadium' in England - or the projected name of Liverpool's new ground!).
Beckham was in good form going into the game and had been named 'Player of the Week' for the previous round of games, thanks to a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win at San Jose Earthquakes.
