In my continuing series which keeps all you Becks-Maniacs out there up to date with the latest gossip, scandal, clothes and (occasionally) football from the world of the Beckhams in Los Angeles... this week, Danny Dichio shows Goldenballs and LA Galaxy how it's done.

Have we entered a strange parallel universe, where the English Premier League's rejects join forces to tackle the league's once mighty stars? Actually, no, we are just observing the latest goings on in Major League 'Soccer'.

In a bizarre development in the season of David Beckham's team, LA Galaxy, Becks and his teammates were left stunned by none other than Danny Dichio and Laurent Robert! The former Sunderland and Newcastle players, respectively, both now ply their trade for Canadian side, Toronto FC, who hosted the Galaxy at the 'Home Depot Arena' (the equivalent of a 'B & Q Stadium' in England - or the projected name of Liverpool's new ground!).

Beckham was in good form going into the game and had been named 'Player of the Week' for the previous round of games, thanks to a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win at San Jose Earthquakes.

Nevertheless, 'Golden Balls' was to be outshone in the game against Toronto by the awesome (!) might of Dichio (the man who struggled to get in a poor Mackems side) and Robert (who was released by Derby County earlier this season - yes, Derby County!!).

It was not until the 42nd minute that the game sparked to life. Dichio latched on to a long punt up field and managed to slam the ball home to give Toronto the lead, which lasted all of 30 seconds. Landon Donovan pounced almost straight from the kick off to ensure the scores were level at half time. The 53rd minute saw Robert's first contribution to the game.
