All indications are that the opposition party in Zimbabwe has defeated long-time President Mugabe and taken control of the Parliament. Mugabe is claiming that a run-off election is needed since the opposition candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai, had failed to make the required 50% of the vote. This run-off will give Mugabe yet one more time to play mischief and attempt to steal the election. Yet if Tsvangirai prevails and Mugabe concedes, this will be a historic moment for Africa.
