I have a bearing in mind and it's Mexico so I gotta find the right moment to do what I can to get there.

I go to Vino's one day to put up my exhibition of photos and I need a hammer so I ask Jenn if there's one kicking around. She tells me to check the store room upstairs so I go up and look in this little room where there's a desk and an idea pops into my head so I run down and ask her: "Jenn, do you think your dad would rent out that room for $200/mth cause I really need a place to live and want to save $ and I'm sure he could use the extra $" She smiles and says: "he probably would go for it, I'll ask him this weekend"

The van didn't work out. Buddy was squeamish about it and ended up telling me his life story while I sat there with $200 in my pocket. I stay at the HI Hostel for one last weekend.

Monday comes and I call about the room and it's a green light!

There's a big ugly homeless guy wearing combat boots, green jacket and green beret. He's working there as a cook with a little guy who's his buddy. They're from Thunder Bay and did the homeless thing sleeping in the street for awhile. Now they're trying to get their lives back by working here, at V's.

There's no shower so I go to the marina in front of the Empress where the showers are $1 and there's laundry facilities too. I feel like a total traveller now. There are also showers at work that I use during my break.
