Writing for friends over the years has created a hobby, to the like's of which I never dreamed possible! The evasive connection, to use news articles as a means to help unpublished Authors become published, in a world where more serious writers seeking to be noticed is increasing annually, due to the increase in writing schools, also the Internet. The opportunity to assist with circulating press releases for writers and creating funny satire, well the idea came to me...why-not? This is how Slap Happy News came to be! The first story went like this:

Editorial: Fiction Satire Category;
By Perry Campanella

In light of recent allegations questioning the truthfulness of James Frey's memoir, "A Million Little Pieces", newly published, "A Million Tiny Tattles", written by Ben Yoskovitz, is under investigation as well. The book is purported to be a memoir, but certain truths seem to have been exaggerated.

Perry Campanella, investigative reporter for Slaphappynews, has discovered that Ben Yoskovitz was not born from immaculate conception as he claims; his mother simply cleaned the sheets after having sex. As well, the author's father was not murdered in front of his eyes, scarring him for life. In fact, his parents got divorced just last year, and his father still has visitation rights. And, Yoskovitz did not graduate from a highly regarded university in the United States as a nuclear physicist. He works as a janitor at a nuclear power plant. Reporter Perry Campanella did verify one claim in the book: The SlapHappy Good News is that Ben Yoskovitz does truly live in Baltimore.

All this assistence may some day lead to the Big Bucks for the Authors that get spotted worldwide!
