It appears that Democratic voters (at least in Iowa) aren’t as stupid as we thought. Enough people saw through Hillary’s charade to hand her a devastating blow last week. Now a desperate Clinton is showing her true colors by predictably telling the people of New Hampshire exactly what she thinks they want to hear.

The message coming out of Iowa was clear. Voters want change, and young voters in particular showed up in record numbers to support Obama, who they see as the most likely candidate to achieve real change. So, what do we hear the very next day from Clinton? She tells us that she’s been “an agent of change for 35 years” and that the young people of New Hampshire are near and dear to her heart.

Now, granted, this kind of crap has worked for Hillary (and Bill) for years, but as she becomes more desperate, it becomes more unlikely that anyone is going to miss the obvious truth – i.e. Hillary has no core beliefs whatsoever, and everything that comes out of her mouth is a direct reflection of what the polls tell her Americans want to hear.

The problem now, though, is that its hard for someone who has been the epitome of the lame, do-nothing Democratic establishment for years to convince anyone that she’s the outsider who can be counted on to deliver real change. And, by attempting to make such a transparently false representation of herself, she makes it obvious to more and more people just exactly how she operates – tell the people exactly what you think they want to hear, regardless of what is right or true, and hope that enough people are stupid enough to believe you.

Well, it appears that America’s Stupidity Quotient may finally have fallen to the point at which the Clinton Formula doesn’t work anymore. All I can say is it's about time…

When the war in Iraq was gearing up, Senator Byrd stood in an near empty congress and asked whoever was still there, how come we aren't debating whether this war is right or wrong?

It seems like American politics has become less about debate, and more about who can outlast the other - having said that, i'm encouraged by the relative civility of the nominees on both the democrats and republicans - it seems that the fear-mongering under the guise of patriotism has waned at least...

With all due respect, I have nothing against you. However, for you to call people who voted for Hillary stupid...that is lower than your impression of Clinton and President Bush's Karl Rove (Rovian) tactics in 2004 elections combined. How can you call Iowans who are also Americans stupid? By taking the name-calling route, you have efficiently violated one of the fallacies my Eng 101 textbook book warned writers about during my freshman year in college.

I'm not mad at you though, you are not the only one---in fact, it is things like these why Partisanship is so dominant and successful in destroying our country. If I were an Iowan who read your suggestion that I was stupid if I voted for Hillary, I would be grossly offended. I would suggest you apologize but that would absolutely do nothing. I am not coming at you because I am a Hillary Clinton supporter/Liberal/Leftist/Satanist/Whatever you or anyone else may choose to call me because of my position on certain issues.

I am willing to support Hillary, even if it means no 3.5% pay raise for us military folks---seeing how the democrats historically has been fiscally cautious in the defense sector. Their strength in diplomacy more than makes up, however. An editorial is written based on opinions of the writer in hopes of inspiring, the line however, must be drawn at the slanderous name calling. Just think of the damage it would do to Obama if he said Hillary voters were stupid. It is ok to disagree, but it is important to respect those who disagree.

By the way, by you suggesting that Hillary goes with the polls and what Americans want to hear.....DUH! DUH! DUH!!! A Democracy is for the people, by the people....the President of a Republic better darn well be connected with his people. He/she is in that office to serve their needs (majority)...this is what alot of people fail to realize, especially Republicans. They say "oh, he/she is such a poll follower," I say again DUH! As the people of your nation goes, so do you. That is why the Democrats have control of Congress, because the Republicans did not heed to their cries for a change of course and that cry became the majority (granted that we need a democratic president in office to help make the changes relevant). That is how President Bush won---you know, the compassionate conservatives who wooed Christian/Evangelical votes. If you think Bush was not playing on the polls in 2000, and 2004 (the anti-war cry did not fully mature until 2006) then you need to retool man. The whole "she is a populist who goes with the poll" thing is sincerely getting old. Then again, the majority of these new age Republicans only care about America...not Americans, trust me when I say that there is a difference between the two.

Then again, from the looks of tonight's N.H Primary results maybe you're suggesting over 100,300 who voted for experience, fiscal competence, and a realistic sense of how to handle the Iraq situation over a young newcomer who had about the same experience as President Bush in 200 are idiots....I think it is safe to say that the last thing myself and quiet a few others need is another president who, God forbid there happens to be another 9/11 and he does nothing but sits frozen like a Popsicle in a classroom. Then four years later, takes a week to respond to the catastrophe that was Katrina---that was Inexperience 101...especially the fact that he had to turn things over to Dick Cheney on 9/11 because he never had the experience to deal with it decisively. These are perilous times we are living in...The job of the president of the United States is not an entry-level position job.

No one joins a branch of the military a Sergeant, those stripes have be earning through picking up trash, becoming proficient of the soldiers' tasks and drills, cleaning toilets, fetching the squad leader coffee, stay up for guard duty, be a darn good soldier/airman/marine/seaman, and ultimately be tested in a time of war or hostile operations. When those things are experienced, then you earn your stripes, thus giving more respect than even the officers who got their rank through a fancy paper called a degree. The presidency is NOT a direct commission. If you want to call people (Iowans) stupid, had they voted Hillary after seeing all that...fine I still have tons of respect for you because just by writing these, shows your passion for the interests of this country--you and I just respectfully disagree on a few things, I would find no problem inviting you for dinner or playing a sport, or heck knock some liquor down (on occasion) if you drink. I will now turn the podium over to you, I welcome a debate.

I think it's too early to count out any of the top contenders in either race, but yes, Hillary does seem to have a knack for playing to the audience.

That is a very unflattering photo of Hillary Clinton - nonetheless, i think she will win the democratic nomination, not because she might be the most qualified person, but the most qualified politician, and her record has shown that if anything she's strong at rebounding... - well if anything, it'll be nice to have a first woman president.

My gut feeling is that Barrack Obama has stronger principles, but I think he has too many hurdles in his way, especially considering the strong racial divide in America, i'd doubt very much he could become president, which is very sad...- a but a good vice-president? That might be a huge step for him, and for minorities.
