Would you like to learn Portuguese? Or maybe any other languages? There is a book fantastic for this: the Bible.

I have already written about leaning Portuguese at OMNI. I don’t really like to repeat myself even in writing. But there is another angle to be taken into consideration here.

At www.vencedores.com.br I sell bilingual Bibles (Eng/Port) and Bibles in Portuguese for people all over the world, specially religious people, like missionaries that will travel to many different Portuguese speaking countries.

I consider it to be a service more than anything, it is not cheap to send this items across the borders of countries and it requires from the buyers some patience to wait for their purchase - from 12 to 22 days from Brazil to any where in US or CA, for example.

But it does pay off, the good book is just fantastic to learn any other new language for you.

Yes, I mean, if you’ve read it in your own language a couple of times and know its content and message you will need much less effort to understand it in your target language. So, of course, you will get a large vocabulary quickly and soon will dominate the target language what ever that is.

So I strongly recommend the Bible for learning languages. I used this strategy myself to learn English and some German.
