Through my life, my appearance has changed dramatically. For one, I am nearly an adult now. When I was born, my mom told me, I had a full head of black hair. She would always tell me how much hair I had for a newborn baby. Looking at my baby picture, I am now noticing for the first time that my eyes were blue. My eyes, today, are hazel but it’s interesting to see how they changed throughout the years.
On a deeper level, when I look into my eyes I see child innocence. At that point in my life I had not seen the negative aspects of society; life as I knew it was my toys, the carpet I crawled on, and the food and baths my parents gave me. Although it doesn’t sound like much, I had everything I could ever imagine as a baby. I would soon grow out of my chubby cheeks and, also, my baby world.
In my grade school picture I’ll say I’m either in third or fourth grade. This picture was taken on the first day of school, it was a tradition for my mom to take one every year. I’m wearing brand new jeans, a new blue blouse, and new clean shoes. My mom must have just taken me back to school shopping; she would take me every year. The look I have on my face in this picture is so sincere. It almost makes me sad. I think in this picture I am truly happy and excited for school and the world.
I have my younger brother by my side and I’m happy to have my arm around him. I don’t ever see pictures like this of myself anymore.
