Many people are under the impression that the Kama Sutra is nothing but sexual positions and have labeled it as porn. This could not be farther from the truth.

The Kama Sutra is more than just sex. It's about bringing two consenting adults to heights they have never achieved before. It is a love guide which focuses on the art of love. Many erotic ancient positions of the Kama Sutra have found their way into bedrooms all across the world and are used by couples who have the desire to try something new, or who are trying to find a new closeness.

Learning Kama Sutra Positions

One popular Kama Sutra position is called Wide Open. In this position the man kneels on the bed (or the floor) and the woman places her buttocks on his knees and wraps her legs around him during intercourse. This position not only brings new heights during intercourse because of the position of the woman, but it also allows the man a view of the woman as she is spread out, and is baring her breasts to him. It also allows the woman to have a freedom that she would not normally possess during sexual intercourse.

Another popular Kama Sutra position is known as the Clasping Position. Originally this position was created with the man on top, but can be performed with the woman on top in order to allow her to have more control. To perform this position in the traditional man on top fashion, first the woman lays on the bed with her legs stretched out, but her legs are not open too wide at this point. The man then gets on top of the woman, and slowly enters her. As he enters, her legs spread slightly to allow him the room required to fit comfortably. Once he is fully inside the woman, the woman then stretches her back and starts to move as slow or as fast as she likes. During this position, there are many chances for full body contact, and many chances to share intimate kisses between lovers. Also, during this position the man and the woman can wrap their arms around each other which only heightens the experience due to the physical contact.

If you have a chair that has no arms, then you might want to consider trying the Milk and Water Embrace. In this position the man sits on the chair, and the woman faces away from him. Taking the man's hand the woman then guides it around her genitals. This is a great way to have foreplay, and learn more about each other's bodies. When the time is right, the man then lifts the woman up and inserts himself. The woman and man then rock back and forth until orgasm is reached.
