Plot of What Just Happened?

Ben is a hardened film producer in a jam. Rough times at home see a marriage on the rocks, and on top of that Ben's work life is a mess.

Levinson gives viewers a gritty, real look into the process and egos that confound the opening of a film. In a behind-the-scenes type look, Ben's latest project named Fierce runs into some unexpected difficulties.

The dynamic between director, producer and studio head is meticulously handled, with each respective party trying to protect their own turf.

Nothing really new is covered in What Just Happened? but Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro makes it enjoyable to watch. Robin Wright Penn plays De Niro's wife in the film.

Nice support from the likes of Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada) and John Turturro (Mr. Deeds) provide realistic characters, with stars Sean Penn and Bruce Willis also making appearances.

Part send-up, part real, this movie should appeal to those curious about the business of movie making.
