When he's not busy competing to see who can stay naked the longest or who can drink the most beer for his Showcase show 'Kenny vs Spenny', Spencer Rice spends his time immersed in porno. That's because he's been busy making his new film, 'Confessions Of A Porn Addict.'

It would be disingenuous of me to say the film is a complete fiction and I’ve never had anything to do with pornography. I’m certainly not an addict or doing it to the point that it would destroy my life like the character in the movie does, but I think it’s a funny to put a romantic comedy in the world of porn. I liked a dysfunctional sweet love story set in the most unromantic of backdrops.

Spencer Rice Makes a Movie

I wanted to do a film about porn addiction because I think it is somewhat of an issue in our culture, although this is not a polemic film in any way, shape, or form. But it is something people can relate to. The idea was to put it in a romantic comedy and mock documentary context.

I worked with Duncan Christie, who is the director. We approached this with the ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ idea, working from a detailed outline. I’m making good money, but mostly I’m doing what I love to do, which is fortunate.
