Rob Zombie's latest film Halloween II, a sequel to his remake of the 1978 classic John Carpenter film, failed to meet its box office expectations, but Rob Zombie's films like House of a 1000 Corpses and Grindhouse have a tendency to build cult followings. His original remake ranks fourth among all Halloween films although it was also panned by critics.

Rob Zombie will be taking a break from films after turning down a chance to direct Halloween 3D, and will return instead to music with a new untitled album planned for November.

With a-less-than overwhelming box office weekend for Halloween II, maybe we'll see an early release of Zombie's new disc.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live Zombie talked about his new movie, but also confirmed the release of the new album and a national tour. Dates and cities have yet to be announced. Rumored titles for the new Rob Zombie release are Jesus Frankenstein and Sick Bubblegum according to MTV.com.

Music he has written or performed has appeared in The O.C,, Entourage, Californication, Charlie's Angels, Daredevil, and The Matrix He may return to film as some say Zombie has been associated with the remake the 1958 horror film, The Blob.
