The more I learn about Scott Chubb, the more he reminds me of someone. This week, hearing about how the witness Chubb received a $13,440 payment from the police to testify in court against Pickton reminded me of my ex-husband, who would often collect money from the police or Crime-Stoppers. I've had many years of experience listening to the BS. Although Chubb denies having received any threats from the Hell's Angels, he might have a tough time if he were convicted and behind bars.

I have a friend who lives in Port Coquitlum, and during a conversation, she mentioned a few details of the events that were happening on the pig farm. One of them was the Hell's Angels coming and going, especially during parties. So when I hear about the threats Chubb received I don't doubt it. My friend wouldn't lie.

Chubb told the court that he applied for the $100,000 reward offered in the missing women case. I chuckled when Chubb said "If I was ever granted a reward, I would give it back to the Downtown Eastside." Yeah right, here's a guy who is squeezing whatever he can from the police and he's going to give up $100,000. I'll believe that when and if I see it.

There always has been a hunch that Dave Pickton, Willie's brother, was involved in one way or another too. How could he not be? With Dave being the prime caretaker on the farm, I don't know how he couldn't know what was going on there. People like the ones testifying were the kinds of people who were wrapped up in drugs, prostitution, survival money - the kind of things I saw happening on the street for years. That's survival with a capital 'S.'

It was the veteran junkies you had to watch out for; they'd rip you off or play you without thinking twice; people such as Dinah Taylor and Gina Houston, for example. I dealt with a couple of veterans, and even though I watched them like a hawk, they still managed to rip me off.

During these past months I've heard all about the crimes that took place at the farm and Piggy's Palace, and it all involves drugs. You read about violent crimes in the paper, and most of them are drug-related.
