More Demonstrable Lies From Hillary

As part of her increasingly desperate campaign rhetoric, Hillary Clinton today claimed that, “based on every analysis of every bit of research and every poll that's been taken and every state a Democrat has to win, I am the stronger candidate against John McCain in the fall.”

If she had asserted that certain polls show her outperforming Obama, or that she appears capable of winning more electoral votes in the general election, her statement would have some validity, but that’s not what she said. She said that “according to every bit of research and every poll” she is the stronger candidate.

Only a few quick mouse-clicks are required to show that this is yet another bald-faced lie and further evidence that Hillary has absolutely no regard for the truth. One has to wonder though what it says about the public she thinks she is addressing that she has no reservations whatsoever about making statements that can be quickly and unambiguously proven false.

So, let’s take a look at today’s provably false statement. All one needs to do in order to confirm or deny the accuracy of Clinton’s assertion is to click on www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/, which compiles results from many major polling organizations. The polls listed on RCP’s page include: Gallup, Rasmussen, Newsweek, Reuters/Zogby, IBD/TIPP, Democracy Corps, and Battleground.

Among these seven polling organizations, Clinton fares better against McCain in three, Obama does better than Clinton in three, and one is tied. On average, Obama beats McCain by 2.6 per cent, while Clinton beats him by 1.2 per cent.

Now, one could take issue with the different polling methodologies in order to argue that some are more meaningful than others, but that really isn’t the point. The point is that Hillary Clinton has yet again made a sweeping statement that is false beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Personally, I don’t care if she pulls out of the race today or sticks around through August, but I have to wonder who, other than racists and single-issue feminist voters would still be supporting this pathological liar.

After reading your editorial on Hillary Clinton, I found myself marveling at the change in my opinion of her during her presidential campaign. I liked her a lot more before listening to her pontifications. I the charicature is excellent, although it's a bit flattering.
