I was really shocked. I was waiting for her to say Twitch’s name, because I knew a lot of people loved Twitch. It was really overwhelming. I was overjoyed and just so happy. The judges said congratulations, told me I had worked hard and that I deserved it. Nigel said I was a benchmark for next season, because the next hip hop people that are untrained will have to step up their game now. That was pretty cool.
Diamond In The Rough
I took modern class, ballet, and some jazz, but I wasn’t technically trained like William, Mark, or Matt. I just took classes so I knew what everything was. I didn’t want to go into the competition dumbfounded and act like I didn’t know what anything was. I felt like if you want to do well, and be a well-rounded dancer, that you should know a lot of the different styles of dance.
Dances And Faces To Remember
I loved 'No Air', I really loved the samba routine, the last piece we did was the Wade Robson routine, and then I loved the Russian routine as well as Mia Michaels' routine. I really didn’t have a bad routine, but those are the ones that stuck out for me.
I really feel close to everybody, but I feel closest to Katee, because we’ve been through a lot together. Katee and I are friends, that’s all we are, just really cool friends. When we get on stage, we’re really not ourselves; we tap into that person we’re supposed to be portraying. I think that’s why we were such a good couple. We would literally go and be the people we were supposed to be.
