Funny-man Adam Sandler returns to fine form in You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, a hilarious comedy from Columbia Pictures now racking up the laughs.

Modern politics get put under the gun in this story about an ace Israeli commando having a revelation of sorts. Similar to the change of heart Tony Stark realized in Iron Man, macho military marvel Zohan decides killing may not be his only salvation. Tired of blowing things up and making them go boom this Israeli one man Rambo decides to follow his true passion: Cutting hair.

Unbeknownst to his parents our Hebrew marvel decides to leave the olive groves of the Promised Land behind for the new world of New York. Once state side our recent arrival faces the usual struggle to make ends meet. Prospects slowly change for Zohan when he walks into a small salon run by the beautiful Dalia. Where the fun really kicks in is watching Zohan’s flair with hair as he manages to make customers at the shop rather happy with his non-traditional chair-side manner.

Against this funny backdrop things take another turn for more hilarity as the street where Dalia makes home is largely Arabic while the other side is Israeli. Sparks fly hot and heavy as Zohan winds up in not only a hair showdown but a return to Middle Eastern chaos in this rousing 113 minute movie that is chalk full of hilarious lines.

Adam Sandler (Happy Gilmore) is terrific as this Israeli one man wrecking crew who just wants to live in peace. Whether his past catches up to him or not provides loads of comic ammunition. Scores of Saturday Night Live alumni add more flavour to this farce with wonderful moments from Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo), Kevin Nealon et al. Watch out for more hilarious cameos.

Love in You Don’t Mess With The Zohan is the reluctant type.
