BNTM: Leanne's Kiss Goodbye

Britain's next top model, leanne

I was very surprised both Martha and I left.

I exercise and I’m toned but weight-wise and size-wise, I’m not stick-thin. I actually want to be a role model and prove that you don’t have to be a size 0 to look beautiful or be a model. '

I was very surprised both Martha and I left this week. The only criticism the judges gave Martha when we were both standing in the bottom two was that she didn’t have enough personality. That shocked me a bit; just because she’s not loud or bubbly or getting in fights doesn’t mean she doesn’t have personality. It was a bit weird for me as well because the week before, I got called first, which means I did really well. Then this week I was eliminated.

There are always times when you think you’ve done better than that girl and then you get eliminated and they survive and carry on. I didn’t really understand where the judges were coming from. Sometimes I don’t think what the judges say is entirely fair, and it’s not just in my case. There were a few girls who left before me who I honestly think shouldn’t have gone home either.

Lauren, for example, was eliminated way before any of us thought she would be – we thought she’d make it to the final two but she was eliminated fourth. She was getting all this great feedback and they were really talking her up, but she had one unfortunate photo (which wasn’t that bad; they just said she looked a bit cross-eyed). Then, the week she got eliminated, the judges didn’t really say many negative things about her picture and told her she dressed well in elimination. It’s confusing.

The judges aren’t the ones that spend 24/7 with us – unlike the cameramen and the producers, who are the guys that really get to know us girls! The judges see a split second of our personality and judge us on that. They’re not going to be able to see the real you, with the exception of Huggy. She did a photo shoot with us and she knew exactly how to work us – she was there for us instead of just being in the background.

It Was The Best Of Times, It Was The Worst Of Times

The bucking bronco challenge was my favourite. It was absolutely hilarious and we made such fools of ourselves! Who would ever want any model to ride a bucking bronco in an advert?
