I wish I would have stayed on Hell’s Kitchen longer. I wasn’t sure if I was going to win, but I expected to go a lot further.
When Chef was grilling me about the menu I cracked under the pressure and said I was “done.” I was tired of his crap. You know, I wasn’t sleeping much…it was a lot of things. I didn’t have many good moments; the bad moments outweighed them and it was weighing on me.
I knew the menu. I blanked out when he put me on the spot. I was like, “I know this. Come on, what is my problem?” As soon as I looked at Gordon Ramsay I lost it. I don’t know if it was the intimidation, the cameras, or what.
The episode didn’t actually show the whole conversation. I kind of broke up with him. (laughs) “It’s not you, it’s me. I just can’t deal with you. I’m done. I can’t take it any more.”
Chef Gordon Ramsay is just over the top. He never just explains. He never says nicely, “You don’t know what you’re doing.” He just goes off on you and it’s pretty rough.
The Hell’s Kitchen Side Of Chef Ramsay
People always ask, “Is Gordon Ramsay for real?” I think it’s half and half. I think obviously that’s the character he is on the show, but at the same time, the prize is to work in his restaurant, so he’s going to be hard on people. He’s not just shipping us off to go work somewhere else this time, so he was definitely harder on us than he was on other groups of people before us.
If he has a soft side, I didn’t really get to see that side.

By aftaab, April 16, 2008 at 12:30You were one of the easiest to predict for elimination behind Aaron from the last show. How you got to stay for so long was a testament to Gordon Ramsay's patience with you. Were you really expecting him to pamper you long enough for you to show us your wonderful personality?
If cooking for you is throwing this or that in a pan then I really hope I never step into a restaurant where you happen to be working. From the viewer's perspective you came across as lazy, sexist and acutely insecure. Perhaps that is in part due to the editing, but how could you honestly step into the kitchen without knowing the menu and expect to pull it off?
His line about you walking around the kitchen like pregnant turtle was rude, accurate, and hilarious. Please don't take out your frustrations on some poor little chicken. Go get drunk instead.

By luyen, April 17, 2008 at 13:06The kitchen got luke-warm, and he couldn't handle it...don't let this guy near the deep fryer. Gordon Ramsay doesn't pull any punches, but if anybody in the universe has seen his show, you'd have years and years to prepare for his personality, and if you're training to be a head chef...the top dog in a hotel or big name restaurant, you gotta be able to handle the pressure.
The sad thing is many chefs walk away from Chef Ramsay only caring about what he says or how he treated them, beneath his gruff methods Ramsay sees if you got what it takes in 10 mins or less, if you don't, you should be working the short order line. The restaurant biz is brutal! I'm glad i'm not in it...
