Right now, we’re in a very Italian house with some very suspect bad taste, including a sunken bath with a kind of yellow shag carpeting. We ripped all that out and put in this beautiful toffee marble, and it looks like the most expensive hotel suite you’ve ever been in your entire life! And, we hand it over to the homeowners tomorrow, so it’s a big all-systems-go kind of day.

This house is program 20 of 26 on Home Heist. It’s been a total eye opener in that we have been dealing with some of the worst properties I’ve ever seen in my entire life – some of the dirtiest properties and some of the most badly designed properties we’ve ever encountered!

Colin:

We’re really lucky – we’re both very opinionated and we’re both very nosy people, which is a good thing and I think it really helps when you do what we do. We’ve got several successful programs in the UK and it was a total surprise for us to come to Canada and find out that there was a whole other continent of people who knew what we were doing, who knew Colin and Justin, and were familiar with our work. It totally, totally blew us away!

We’ve had such, such fun here, and we’ve met some incredible people along the way. We’ve got a new Canadian family, who are a lovely team that we work with and create all the magic for us, who we’ve totally bonded with and I hope they’ve totally bonded with us; it’s really a very, very rewarding experience.
