Dilana's star first rose on the collective conscience of the rock world during her second-place run on the reality show Rock Star Supernova. While she wasn't chosen to front the band, all could agree on one thing: Dilana rocks. After one of her memorable performances, former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee said, "Dilana, I wanna." Since then, the wild and colorful Dilana has been giving fans, new and old, what they want: music to their ears and shivers up their spines. While Dilana says she likes to keep her secrets under wraps, her music tells the tale of her life, so listen up. Here, Orato caught up to Dilana post-summer vacation and mid-career highlight.

Riding a Harley through western Canada is something I've been doing for the last few years with a bunch of friends of mine. We all ship our bikes and fly up to make a trip through British Columbia for about 15 or 20 days in the summer.

Of course this year, I couldn't do the whole trip; I couldn't even ship my bike over because I had shows to do and didn't have the time that I normally have, but I flew up later and joined them. I got to ride someone else's bike everyday. It was really cool - traveling in a group of Harleys, on big bikes, small bikes, all kinds of bikes. It's always a lot of fun; I just love B.C., and it gives me a chance to meet so many people.

This year it was more of a workout than a vacation for me. In the past, I could just go and have a nice, relaxing holiday, but now, every single place we'd go to, people would recognize me from Rock Star Supernova. I was just amazed by it. In one place we were on a mountain top in the middle of nowhere, we walked into the gas station, and everyone was like, "Oh my God, are you Dilana?" (laughs)

I'm working hard on my new CD, which will be out in 2008. The last time I talked to you, I had just opened up for Aerosmith in Las Vegas. The latest career highlight that I was extremely excited about was opening up on September 12 for my ultimate, most favorite singer in the entire universe - Beth Hart. She's not really known in the States, but she's huge in Europe.
